About half of senior business managers are failing to take advantage of Web 2.0 technologies because of a lack of understanding, according to research.

Rob Banathy, client relationship manager at Parity Solutions, said the majority of organisations are simply buying what they perceive to be the latest document management and search technologies, rather than adopting Web 2.0 technology to achieve a new way of working.

This is a space I have done quite a bit of work in as a technology and knowledge management evangelist. There are a lot of important concepts that web 2.0 can bring to business, but dollars and sense prevail. Unless business can see bottom line impacts as a result they will be reluctant to invest.

Two of our staff have had babies in recent times.
Rohan and Dell Hills were blessed with Caitlyn in August. Caitlyn was born with Severe Bilateral Micropthalmia" or in simple terms very small eyes. Her eyes didn't form correctly. However in all other ways she is a healthy baby. Rohan has built a drupal website to tell Caitlyns story.
